NUI GALWAY DEVELOPS LASTING RELATIONSHIPS WITH UNIVERSITIES IN THE ARAB WORLD

Earlier this month NUI Galway welcomed 40 educators from Jordan and Lebanon for a seven-day bespoke study tour. The study tour was part of a new EU TEMPUS funded project, which aims to develop service learning and civic engagement partnerships in Jordan and Lebanon.

The University of Bath recently strengthened links with the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), China by announcing a new scheme that will allow elite Chinese engineering students to continue their studies at Bath on a BEng programme.

Could the UK be about to see an expansion in the numbers of private universities? They could, according to Paul Marshall, head of the 1994 Group of universities. Marshall believes that we are about to see a shift towards “private providers entering the market place”.

STUDY GROUP TO OPEN NEW STUDY CENTRE IN OXFORD

Study Group has announced plans to open a multi-million pound study centre on the banks of the River Thames, Oxford this September. The centre will be part of Bellerbys College Oxford and will give students from all parts of the world the chance to study for GCSEs, A Levels and foundation courses in one of the world’s leading centres of education and learning.
