You can now learn more about Flinders University, Australia, with a new international Android app, created by i-studentgroup. The app allows prospective students from across the world to find out information about the university, course choices and how to apply, as well as content on entertainment, food and things to do in Adelaide. What’s more, the app is free and can be easily downloaded from the Android Market.

Figures have revealed that the number of UK born students applying to national universities has fallen 15.1% since this time last year. UCAS has received a total of 133,357 UK applications, a notable drop from last year’s 157,116.

A new study by Education Intelligence, the British Council’s global service, has made enquiries into the controversial topic of education agents – companies that offer prospective international students a service to assist them in placements at overseas universities in exchange for a fee – from the perspective of the students themselves.

After yet more controversy and upset, students are once again taking to the streets of London to protest over education cuts and rise in tuition fees across England. They are also marching against the government white paper and the proposed ‘privatisation’ of universities.
