Georgian Colleges’ School of Design and Visual Art (SDVA) in Canada is due to present International Printmaking and Works on Paper in its’ campus gallery — The Helen and Arch Brown Centre for Visual Arts — from October the 15th.
The exhibition is an exchange between faculty members and students from Belfast’s University of Ulster School of Art and the College’s Fine Art programme.
The first international exchange took place between Japan’s Joshibi University and Georgian in 2007. The Georgian-Joshibi Exchange of Works on Paper, which featured selected works by students, graduates and faculty members, created an opportunity for them to experience the differences and similarities between artists in Canada and Japan. It also provided the students the chance to look beyond cultural and geographic disparities.
The exhibition runs through to November the 8th before moving on to Ulster University.
