Earlier this month NUI Galway welcomed 40 educators from Jordan and Lebanon for a seven-day bespoke study tour. The study tour was part of a new EU TEMPUS funded project, which aims to develop service learning and civic engagement partnerships in Jordan and Lebanon.

According to the Resources of Higher Education Institutions 2007-08 report, the number of academics under the age of 35 working in UK universities is at an all time low, Times Higher Education revealed this week.
