The new Minister of State for Universities and Science, David Willetts, has hinted that university tuition fees in the UK are set to rise. In an interview with The Guardian Willetts said that the cost of university tuition was a “burden on the taxpayer that had to be tackled”.

UK Universities Secretary, Lord Mandelson is due to announce a new labelling system for UK university degrees based on a food-labelling system to provide more information to students about their degrees, the Telegraph reported.
