Earlier this month NUI Galway welcomed 40 educators from Jordan and Lebanon for a seven-day bespoke study tour. The study tour was part of a new EU TEMPUS funded project, which aims to develop service learning and civic engagement partnerships in Jordan and Lebanon.

New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, a premiere institution for the performing, cinematic, and recording arts, has announced that alumnus and actor Alec Baldwin ‘94 has donated $1 million for the establishment of the Alec Baldwin Drama Scholarship Fund.

On Tuesday June 23rd HP Ireland announced the 2009 Ireland winners of the Innovation in Education Grant Initiative, which rewards universities and secondary schools across EMEA for their innovative teaching and learning projects. This year’s Ireland winners were NUI Galway and Coláiste Iognáid, Galway.
