A high percentage of UK students are satisfied with their university course, according to an annual study conducted by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE).

In the past week QS has unveiled the global rankings for life sciences and medicine courses. Titled the 2011 QS World University Rankings by Subject, the list ranks the top 100 Medicine, Biological Science and Psychology courses around the world.

Once again US universities have come out on top in a list of world university rankings compiled by Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

According to a recent study, graduate employment universities vary widely depending on the institution. The numbers of graduates in employment range from 100% at The School of Pharmacy to 74.4% at London South Bank University.

Professor Sir Leszek Borysiewicz has been nominated as the next Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridge. Professor Borysiewicz is presently Chief Executive of the Medical Research Council.
