IRAQI SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS SET TO ARRIVE ON UK AND US CAMPUSES

An Iraqi government initiative has seen hundreds of Iraqi students enrolled at universities and colleges across the US and the UK in an effort to start rebuilding Iraq’s once-renowned higher education system. The Iraq Education Initiative intends to provide education opportunities for over 600 young men and women this year before eventually expanding into Australia, Canada, France and Japan.

President-elect of the Arizona Board of Regents, Ernest Calderón, has proposed to transform the traditional two-plus-two degree system in Arizona with a new ‘three-plus-one’ system, Inside Higher Ed reported this week.
