Recently there has been very little good news coming from the higher education sector. With funding cuts, tightening of visa restrictions and spiralling tuition fees there has been little to get excited about over the last few months.

English language schools in the UK have won a court battle reversing a decision to make visa regulations for foreign students much tighter. The schools had warned that the new restrictions would result in the loss of thousands of jobs, millions of pounds of earnings and countless opportunities for international students wanting to study English in the UK.
